IELTS preparation

IELTS is an acronym for the International English language testing system. Non-English speakers must take it if they want to move to the countries where English is the native language. This course is organized by IELTS Australia, the British Council, IDP, and Cambridge Assessment English.

IELTS test is acknowledged by the associations of 140 nations, including schools, colleges, universities, government organizations, training institutions, and immigration authorities.

There are two kinds of IELTS tests: General and Academic. Listening and speaking sections are identical for general and Academic tests, but the reading and writing parts differ. IELTS is taken on both computer and paper. It entirely depends on the choice of test taker that which one he prefers. IELTS test scores validity is two years.

There are four sections of the IELTS test: Reading, writing, listening and speaking. The reading section has three passages, 40 questions and has 30 mint of time. The writing section has two tasks and 60 minutes to attempt them. Listening has four sections and 40 questions. It has 30 minutes of listening and ten minutes to transfer answers from the question sheet. The speaking section has three parts and 10-14 minutes to attempt them.

The reading, writing, and listening parts of the tests are done on the same day without breaks. The speaking test can be taken before or after seven days of other tests.

There is not any pass and fail criteria in IELTS. It is checked through a nine-band scale, which is 0-9.

A person who scored nine means that he is an expert user of English. Score 8 means a very good user, which means that this person has a grip on the English language but makes slight mistakes. A score of 7 means he is an exemplary user. Score 6 means competent user. Score 5 is Modest user, Score 4 limited user, Score 3 extremely limited user. Score 2 is intermittent user, which means that a person faces lots of trouble in understanding and speaking English. Score 1 is non-user, which means that this person cannot understand the language except few words. Score o means he does not attempt the test.

IELTS test result is available online after 13 days, and a hard copy of the result is provided after the 18th day of the test. This test scores validity is two years.
